Since a very young age, Gregg Sharp has been immersed in the world of construction, whether it had been through laboring summers through Jr. and Sr. High growing up in NY, or working summers as a lead foreman while studying at one of the highest ranked University’s in the nation it seemed as if Gregg would be destined to create a winning company and a highly efficient corporate environment for success in this field.
However, after studying in the Ivy of Cornell, Gregg took his skills into the world of business in the 1990’s to become a pioneer in the Health and Fitness fields. After proving his abilities by growing his franchise counterpart 400 % over 5 years Gregg decided to make a move to the West Coast.
Gregg then restarted his construction career in 2002 after breaking away from the pilot franchise in upstate New York. In reviewing the business landscape he landed on taking a locally owned NY Government contracting company to the West Coast to build it into a very successful 8(a) dossier of outstanding rated jobs and creating a new standard for Small Business Contracting on the West Coast.
As time went on though, Gregg saw that the direction and vision of the current company slowed and then contacted his long time friend Michelle Colombo convincing her to take her solid financial and operational background and mesh it with his visionary sales and marketing approach to form A2M Contractors.
Gregg’s achievement highlights, though many, includes:
- One of the first civilian contractors to receive the NFESC ATFP Certificate of Training for NAVFAC
- Multiple redesign and construction of base access with respect to ATFP requirements through NAVFAC SOUTHWESTDIV
- Implementation of border security initiatives including the installation of Radiation Portal Monitors along the Southwest US/Mexico border for GSA and DHS,
- Various multiple vertical build projects
- Design think tanks
- Multiple IDIQ, JOC and MACC service and base support contracts.
Gregg has developed as a leader in the field of government contracting earning the respect and reputation of a first class contractor.
- Life is what you make or take out of it; never what you wished it would be…
Michelle Colombo grew up in NY with a no quit and hard hitting attitude. By the very young age of 16 she had already moved into a supervisory role scheduling and motivating peers two to three times her age.
After studying in Upstate NY she soon found herself engaging the Wall Street life and accepted an offer for then AG Edwards as an operations manager for a local branch. This position was short lived as she was immediately recruited to work with their International Brokerage team. From there she managed over a half a billion dollars in trades annually.
But Michelle’s passion also lay in the interior design and construction arena where she would privately consult and help many of her friends and esteemed professional with their plans for remodeling not only their homes but their office space as well. She believed in a no fee approach to what could only be consider a prodigy like flair and certain “savoir faire” for the world of dimensional planning.
In 2002 she migrated to the West Coast operations with AG Edwards where she has endured two corporate buy outs and several operation restructurings. During all of this Michelle has been able to advance her personal growth by testing and earning her AAMS, Series 7, 63 and CA Insurance licenses and is currently an Associate Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors.
When asked to team up with Gregg in the summer of 2009 in a construction opportunity, Michelle jumped at the chance to create a winning alliance giving her an opportunity to utilize her solid Financial Background, her love for Operational Management, and passion for interior design in launching a potential “ground up” corporate juggernaut.
Michelle is poised to use her skills, cutting edge thought structure and her passion to create a winning team!
